# How to stake ASTR?

Go to the farm page and select an available field. There are nine fields, and you can choose any location you like.

After deciding on a farm, you will need to decide on the amount of ASTR to stake. The number of seeds to be planted depends on the amount of ASTR to be staked, which is currently 500 ASTR per seed.

Next, select the lock period. The longer the lock period is, the higher the APY will be. Once a field is staked, it cannot be manipulated until it is harvested.

If you want to stake an additional field, select another available field.

NOTE:\
We are pleased to announce some specification changes to AstarFarm. \
Description: Eliminate the current 63 and 189 day staking. Background: Specification changes due to changes in staking and revenue forms in conjunction with dAppstaking changes. \
Implementation date: Monday, August 21, 2023 　　　\
\*The staking period will be available until 23:59 on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
